Pray With Expectation
Ok did I only release one blog and then dip, yes? Did I have a good reason? Not really but that's besides the point. More blogs coming soon plus my first youtube video that I’ve been saying I was going to do for years lol. So subscribe to my channel (top right) and look out for my first drop next week! But anywho that's not what we’re talking about today. I was asked to lead bible study tonight and wanted to quickly share some gems before I K.O.
So backstory but if you don’t know my church, 2819 is going through a difficult time as we come together with prayer and giving in order to fund a church building because we have grown so much this past year we are now being pushed out of the school building we were renting. Which is so interesting but not surprising because we just finished a corporate fast and just knew that the devil was going to send his best hitters after.
Though we had heavy hearts after hearing the cries of our Pastor, we came together to have Access which is group prayer for our church. During Access one of the prayer leaders, Ms. Ronda mentioned “praying with expectation” and then one of my serving team members, Adayjah mentioned praying with “expectation and not desperation” This has been embedded in me since.
Imma make this quick but before I continue on, read Psalm 27 and then come back. Not only does this chapter give encouragement along with many other gems verse 13 says to “look upon the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living”
Scripture tells us the prayer WILL be answered. We serve a good God. Is there really anything else to talk about? Don’t you dare pray with insecurity. Put your full trust in the Lord. Proverbs 3:5-6 says when we trust in the Lord with all our heart we don't have to understand how He gets it done. Just know He will make our paths straight, A.K.A get it done. On me Jesus really is Mr. Get It Done. Trust and believe He is going to handle it. He’s Abba so it’s always going to give that wealthy bald head dad with two phones that you can always run to when you have a problem.
Our backs are against the wall right now, sure. But in moments like this we can be joyous because no one but the one and only Miracle Worker can pull us through. And this obviously doesn’t just apply to our current church situation. This simply applies to life in general. So family if you attend the church continue to pray confidently and with authority. If you dont attend, we ask that you join us in prayer.
